Retail Cashier - Floater
About The Position
The Retail Cashier Floater supports multiple store locations by covering shifts for vacations, training, and staffing needs. The role suits experienced cashiers or retail professionals who enjoy working with different teams, meeting new people, and providing customer service in a fast-paced environment. Stores operate 24/7, and the position requires flexible availability for all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Starting pay is $18.00–$19.00 per hour, with an additional $1.00 per hour for overnight shifts from 10 PM to 7 AM. The cashier welcomes customers, assists with product information, processes purchases and promotions accurately, and follows laws regarding restricted sales. The role also includes shift coverage, paperwork and deposits for full shifts, store cleaning and stocking, and following food-handling, sanitation, company, and safety procedures. Physical duties include standing, walking, bending, reaching, climbing or balancing, and lifting up to 65 pounds occasionally. Work conditions may include heat, cold, allergens, noise, and fumes or odors from gasoline and cleaning chemicals.
Requirements
- Flexible availability for a 24/7 operation, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to different store environments.
- Meet minimum age requirements to sell alcohol and tobacco where applicable.
- Positive, team-oriented attitude and willingness to help wherever needed.
- Frequently stand, walk, bend, twist, reach, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch, and talk and listen.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 65 pounds.
- Work safely in conditions that may include heat, cold, allergens, noise, and fumes or odors from gasoline and cleaning chemicals.

Responsibilities
- Greet customers, thank them for their business, and invite them back.
- Provide shift coverage across multiple stores as needed.
- Deliver fast, friendly service and assist customers with product information.
- Ring up purchases accurately and apply promotions and discounts while following laws related to restricted sales, including alcohol and tobacco.
- Complete daily paperwork and deposits when covering full shifts.
- Maintain cleanliness inside and outside the store, including pumps and islands.
- Stock and rotate products on shelves, in coolers, and on displays.
- Follow proper food handling, preparation, and sanitation procedures.
- Adhere to company policies and safety guidelines.
- Take on other duties as assigned.
