About The Position

New Riff Distilling is looking for energetic and committed team members to join our crew of Brand Ambassadors. As a New Riff Brand Ambassador, the ideal candidate can take what we’re building- a premier, one-of-a-kind experience and a passionate community of consumers- and help us amplify our message and impact. This candidate will report directly to our Retail Manager, working to ensure a first-class experience for every guest that visits our Distillery. This part-time position averages 20–25 hours per week, with 6-8 hour shifts typically scheduled between 10:00 AM and 8:30 PM, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

  • High-energy, gregarious, positive, and team-focused individual with a high level of customer service understanding and experience.
  • Strong commitment to learning and educating others about New Riff’s culture, history, and the broader spirits industry—especially Kentucky Bourbon.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Ability to provide consistent experiences in line with our brand standards.
  • Excellent time management, communication and organizational skills.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Perceptive and able to think quickly on your feet.
  • Comfortable in a multi-paced work environment.
  • Naturally charismatic and articulate, with a strong ability to connect and engage with a wide and diverse customer base.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Able to stand, walk, climb stairs, squat and bend as this position requires a combination of mobility throughout the shift.
  • Able to lift 50 pounds
  • Available to work a flexible work schedule which includes evenings and weekends.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Retail or Hospitality experience.
  • Experience in service, spirits or related industry.
  • Experience in customer facing situations, workspace organization and flow.
  • Attention to detail - Inventory management, product displays, organization etc...
  • General Point of Sale systems experience.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience dealing with all demographics of customers.
  • Detail-oriented and able to stay focused in high-pressure situations, especially during busy product releases.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers when they walk through the door.
  • Build rapport through conversation and honest recommendations.
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Answer the phone and handle phone inquiries.
  • Assist in maintaining the stock room and setting up merchandise displays on the sales floor.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean, organized, and inviting area.
  • Assist in executing special product releases.
  • Assist in shipping orders.
  • Receive and organize deliveries.
  • Respond accurately and promptly to customer inquiries regarding New Riff events, educational experiences, and availability.
  • Schedule and coordinate site tours, including pickups for online order fulfillment.
  • Support the New Riff branded events team as needed.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to strengthen customer relationships and support the ongoing growth of the New Riff brand.
