About The Position

The purpose of this position is to manage the daily loan flow of the branch and to work with department heads to maintain or increase the productivity and profitability of PRMI. This role involves developing new business opportunities by cultivating relationships with realtors, builders, and bankers, and offering the best mortgage products to match client needs. The manager will review application information, request necessary documentation, and coordinate with various parties to ensure timely closings. Additionally, the role requires staying current on industry trends, improving production and sales quality, ensuring policies and procedures are followed, analyzing departmental performance, training loan officers, and managing leads.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of mortgage related experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of management experience
  • Experience using Encompass
  • Must be proficient in Word and Excel
  • Must have excellent customer service and organizational skills
  • Must have excellent written and verbal skills
  • Ability to multi-task with little or no supervision
  • Must be a team player and know how to help boost morale
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Must be able to utilize a computer
  • Must be able to maintain a work schedule
  • Must be able to effectively perform in an office setting
  • Must comply with and adhere to all applicable mortgage and fair lending laws and regulations as well as PRMI policies.

Responsibilities

  • Develops new business opportunities and sales leads by cultivating relationships with realtors, builders, bankers, etc.
  • Develops a solid knowledge of PRMI products and offers the best mortgage products to match client needs
  • Reviews application information and requests required support documentation based on loan investor guidelines
  • Corresponds, communicates, and coordinates with applicants, in-house support staff, and outside service providers to facilitate timely closings
  • Carries out major assignments affecting business operations of the employer or the employer’s customers
  • Collects and analyzes information regarding the customer’s income, assets, investments, or debts (if a loan originator)
  • Analyzes applicant data, credit, and collateral property value (if a loan originator)
  • Determines which financial products best meet the customer’s needs and financial circumstances (if a loan originator)
  • Provides advice to the customer regarding the advantages and disadvantages of available financial products (if a loan originator)
  • Markets, services, or promotes the employer’s financial products (if a loan originator)
  • Remains current on local developments and trends within the real estate and mortgage industries.
  • Improves the quality of production and sales
  • Ensures policies and procedures are being followed
  • Analyzes departments on daily basis to ensure loan flow and production are being completed within required turn times
  • Maintains employee folders
  • Oversees how questions or complaints are handled within the branch
  • Places ads in the paper or online when needed
  • Trains loan officers
  • Manages leads and ensures that employees are following up with clients
  • Assist in employee concerns
  • Tracks employees time off
