About The Position

The Retail Banking Summer Intern - Financial Wellness Solutions program at PNC is a 10-week immersive experience designed to develop future leaders within the Financial Wellness Solutions organization. Interns will gain exposure to a specific line of business, expand their career launch tools, and complement their education with real-world job experience. PNC is an in-office company that fosters a supportive culture. The Financial Wellness Solutions team helps organizations provide employees with financial wellness solutions and drives engagement through experiences that help employees achieve their financial goals. This role requires a winning attitude, professionalism, and a genuine interest in the financial wellness industry, with employees needing to be proactive, persuasive, and personable. The internship is located throughout PNC’s footprint.

Requirements

  • Working toward Bachelor's Degree
  • Preferred business relevant majors (e.g. Finance, Accounting, IT, Economics, Marketing, Mathematics, Statistics, HR, Management, Communications, Business Law, Psychology, Logistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Actuarial Sciences)
  • Sophomore or junior status
  • Minimum GPA 3.0
  • Customer Focused - Knowledgeable of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and able to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Performs or assists in banking activities, including researching clients or prospects, creating and/or calling on targeted calling lists, scheduling, attending and/or leading client or prospect appointments, creating presentations and/or proposals, and identifying and/or delivering on next steps to move relationships forward.
  • Works under supervision and may have limited approval and/or exception authority.
  • Helps build the client base through proactive, outbound quality sales conversations with both organizations and their employees.
  • Creates loyalty and deepens relationships through a differentiated client experience.
  • Participates in special projects related to the business and its strategic priorities.
  • Participates in social learning, for example, identifies and networks with business representatives and peers and participates in mentoring, job shadowing and community outreach, to ensure appropriate foundations in product and sales.
