About The Position
Four Seasons Resort Hualālai is seeking a passionate and service-oriented Retail Attendant to join our Hualālai Trading Company team. The Hualālai Trading Company is more than a resort retail outlet. It serves as a convenient gathering place for guests and residents alike, offering a thoughtfully curated selection of island-inspired gifts, resort essentials, sundries, grab-and-go food and beverages, locally sourced products, and signature Four Seasons merchandise. The Trading Company helps create memorable guest experiences by providing both convenience and authentic connections to Hawaiʻi. As a Retail Attendant, you will play an important role in delivering exceptional service while creating a welcoming shopping environment. You will serve as a knowledgeable resource for guests, helping them discover products that enhance their stay and represent the spirit of Hualālai.
Requirements
- Required by the Hawaii State Department of Health to obtain a Tuberculous (TB) clearance card when working in food and beverage
- Previous retail, merchandising, stocking, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a genuine passion for guest service.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced luxury hospitality environment.
- Basic mathematical and cash-handling skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift merchandise as needed.
- Weekend and holiday availability required.
- Must possess legal authorization to work in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized, gracious, and professional service to every guest, anticipating individual needs and exceeding expectations.
- Develop a thorough understanding of all merchandise, specialty products, food and beverage offerings, and resort-branded items available within the Trading Company.
- Utilize product knowledge and relationship-building skills to drive sales and achieve daily and monthly revenue goals.
- Maintain visually appealing merchandise displays and ensure the store is stocked, organized, and presentation-ready at all times.
- Share guest feedback and purchasing trends with leadership to support inventory planning and product selection.
- Assist with inventory audits, cycle counts, and bi-annual inventory processes.
- Process guest transactions accurately, including cash, credit card, room charge, and complimentary transactions.
- Follow all company cash-handling procedures and maintain accurate records.
- Promote a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and aloha while supporting fellow team members and resort operations.
