About The Position

The Retail Associate is responsible for the sale and merchandising of candy, ice cream, toys, and related products while delivering exceptional guest service in a fun and welcoming environment. This role requires a basic understanding of retail operations and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness, food safety, and high customer service standards. Applicants must be available to work weekends and holidays.

Requirements

English reading writing and communication.
Basic computer knowledge and comfortable with a computer based point of sale.
Able to stand or walk for up to 8 hours per shift.
Will lift 25lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
6 months cash handling position preferably in retail or food and beverage.

Responsibilities

Maintain a friendly, professional, and outgoing demeanor with customers and team members.
Proactively support operational and company needs with minimal supervision.
Develop and share product knowledge to assist customers effectively.
Handle cash transactions accurately and consistently; balance cash tills at the end of each shift.
Keep merchandise and work areas clean, organized, and visually appealing.
Maintain a clean, sanitary, and food-safe environment by following all food handling, storage, cleaning, and sanitation procedures in accordance with company standards and health regulations.
Gain familiarity with Schweitzer Mountain facilities to better assist guests.
