About The Position

This is a part-time Retail Associate position in Homestead, FL. The role involves a variety of tasks including customer service, sales, cashiering, stocking, sorting, inventory management, sizing, color coordination, and cleaning activities within a retail store environment. The position requires the ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.

Requirements

• High school or equivalent, or a combination of education and experience.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Knowledge of electronic devices.

Nice To Haves

• 6 months of related experience or training is highly desirable.
• Prior cashiering experience is a plus.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Receive donations: greet donors, accept and unload donated materials, enter customer general information into a smart device, and thank donors.
• Processing: sort, separate, and hang clothing and household items. Sort, test, clean, and mark small appliances, housewares, shoes, seasonal items, and other assorted merchandise.
• Cashiering: Conduct sales transactions and maintain control of cash and credit card transactions by following proper procedures for voids, discounts, refunds, checks, and credit card payments.
• Cleaning duties: clean bathrooms, floors, shelves, windows, break room, store fixtures, fitting rooms, dock area, store exterior, and merchandise counters.
• Report issues that require maintenance repairs.
• Customer service activities: assist customers, price merchandise, manage fitting rooms, offer recycling bags, explain store operations, and utilize sales techniques to enhance sales and community image.
