About The Position

The Canadian Niagara Hotels Group of Companies is seeking a Retail Sales Associate to join their team. This role involves welcoming and assisting guests, providing product information and sales, handling transactions, and maintaining store standards. The position also includes additional responsibilities related to promotional activities and guest engagement. Requirements

  • Knowledge and conversational ability in order to effortlessly provide guest experience and encourage both cross-promotion/sales of related products
  • Demonstrate cheerfulness and extroversion in order to greet and serve each guest
  • Demonstrate knowledge and conversational ability in order to effortlessly provide guest experience and encourage both cross-promotion/sales of related products and company services/activities/products across the complex
  • Demonstrate willingness/enjoyment to attend to the needs of others
  • Ability to maintain professional composure at all times while performing multiple tasks with multiple guests/multiple items/products
  • Ability to effortlessly recommend/ persuade/up sell all forms of store products to guests in order to maximize both the guest experience and revenue
  • Must be efficient and accurate with receiving, merchandising, product returns, POS, cash auditing and handling
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Able to work outdoors
  • Ability to stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire shift
  • Must be able to work all shifts including weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous knowledge of computerized point of sale is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Enthusiastically welcome and greet guests
  • Provide product information, selection, suggestion and sales
  • Customer billing and payment settlement
  • Maintaining public health, sanitation and proactive health and safety standards
  • Complete inventory and restock sections and supplies
  • Greet passersby and provide them with discount coupons to invite them to participate in the Hard Rock Café “Spin to Win” sweepstakes
  • Manage the “Spin to Win” customer experience by offering chances at winning to restaurant guests
  • Help guests exchange previously received coupons to participate in the “Spin to Win” sweepstakes.
  • Describe discount coupon restrictions and requirements for guest participants.
