About The Position

The Retail Associate supports both industry professionals and the general public in a cash-and-carry retail environment, offering expert assistance with high-quality kitchen equipment, supplies, and smallware's.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED or equivalent
At least 1 year of sales and customer service experience preferred
Culinary background helpful
Proficiency in using Microsoft office products
Reliable transportation to and from Retail Store.

Responsibilities

Greet and assist walk-in customers, providing knowledgeable service on commercial foodservice products.
Guide customers through product selection based on their needs, whether for commercial kitchens, restaurants, bars, or home use.
Operate the point-of sale (POS) system efficiently to complete transactions accurately.
Answer inbound phone calls for catalog sales with the expectations of cross-selling additional items.
Sourcing new sales opportunities through inbound leads, follow-up calls, and emails timely.
Retain and emphasize product/service features and benefits, quote prices, discuss credit terms, and prepare sales order forms and/or reports.
Restock shelves and maintain a clean, organized and professional showroom.
Receive and unpack deliveries; assist in inventory management and cycle counts.
Monitor and ensure product displaces are clean, current, and properly priced.
Support wholesale and professional accounts with product inquiries and order pickups.
Attend manufacturer trainings sessions to learn and expand on product knowledge.
Other duties as assigned.
