Retail Associate - Norfolk
About The Position
Goodwill of the Great Plains is hiring Retail Associates to provide customers with an exemplary experience and atmosphere through outstanding customer service and by maintaining a clean, inviting, and shoppable store. The role includes handling sales transactions and cash, stocking and rotating merchandise, accepting donated items, and processing donations into inventory for the sales floor. This is a full-time position paying $15.00 per hour. Goodwill describes its compensation package as competitive and performance-based, with compensation commensurate with the employee’s level of responsibility. Eligible employees may receive a Personal Day, a Birthday Day Off, and six paid holidays upon hire. Health, dental, and vision insurance are available to eligible employees after 30 days of employment.
Responsibilities
- Ensure sales transactions are rung up appropriately, all monies are collected and counted, and correct change is given.
- Maintain cash register supplies.
- Stock and rotate goods on the sales floor.
- Accept donated items in a safe, courteous, and efficient manner according to store guidelines.
- Process donated items to produce inventory for the sales floor.
