About The Position

TJ Maxx is hiring a permanent, full-time Retail Associate for its Countryside, Illinois store. The role focuses on providing a highly satisfying customer experience, maintaining an organized and clean store, and following operational, merchandising, and loss-prevention standards. Associates may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The position offers 30 or more hours per week and requires absolute open availability because of an automated schedule; schedules are posted three weeks in advance. TJX is seeking candidates interested in building a career path with the company. Starting pay is listed as $15.40–$16.40 per hour in the posting, with a later location-specific range of $15.40–$15.90 per hour. Actual starting pay depends on experience and other relevant factors. Responsibilities

Deliver a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers and following customer-experience principles.
Model customer-experience practices with internal and external customers.
Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and provide correct change according to operating procedures.
Promote credit and loyalty programs.
Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow merchandising procedures and standards.
Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
Maintain sales-floor organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards, and help maintain the cleanliness of the entire store.
Give and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Support and participate in shrink-reduction goals and programs.
Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
