About The Position

We are seeking an energetic and motivated individual to join our sales team as a Retail Lead. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting overall store operations while helping lead daily retail activities with an emphasis on customer service, sales, communication, and operational success. Additionally, this position may assist in various capacities for the overall operations of Crystal Joys such as inventory assistance, merchandising, packing and shipping, online order fulfillment, marketing support, scheduling coordination, or other duties as assigned. We’re an innovative and energetic organization looking for a professional and passionate individual to join our team and help take our sales, customer service, and store operations to the next level.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age. Exceptions may be made based on State Laws as applicable.
  • Ability to work within various technology platforms and systems, including but not limited to POS systems, email, scheduling software, and project management software
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Computer literate and basic math skills
  • Available to work on weekends and holidays
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Reliable transportation required
  • Ability to fulfill all physical demands of the position as indicated by Crystal Joys

Nice To Haves

  • Previous retail experience is beneficial, though not required
  • Leadership or supervisory experience is beneficial

Responsibilities

  • Helping maintain and support daily retail store operations independently and alongside team members
  • Providing excellent customer service to all customers and community members
  • Maintaining a positive and cheerful demeanor with customers, greeting them and offering help and guidance as needed
  • Acting as a leadership presence on the sales floor and helping support team members during shifts
  • Assisting with maintaining store performance goals including sales, conversion, average order value, and customer engagement
  • Supporting store scheduling, staffing coverage, and shift coordination as needed
  • Maintaining communication with team members regarding scheduling, operational updates, and store expectations
  • Assisting with training and supporting Retail Associates
  • Researching and informing self about new store products with information that can be accurately shared with customers during the sale process
  • Working with a sales-focused mindset in alignment with achieving store and bonus metrics, if applicable
  • Maintaining store and displays in good condition and assisting in day-to-day maintenance of the store
  • Assisting with ongoing inventory expectations of the store to include restocking, pricing, labeling, merchandising, and organizing
  • Using the POS system effectively and successfully maneuvering and navigating the platform
  • Implementing opening, closing, and daily duties of the store, including register maintenance and cash handling procedures
  • Processing payments including working with cash and credit cards and managing cash drawer with accuracy
  • Assisting with weekly deposits and register balancing procedures as directed
  • Working in various store locations if necessary
  • Assisting in packing and shipping online orders and delivering to post office or drop box if needed
  • Fulfilling online orders and/or providing oversight of online sales platforms as requested
  • Assisting with marketing initiatives, local promotions, events, social media content, or blog posts as directed
  • Helping maintain store cleanliness, organization, and operational standards
  • Actively responding to verbal and written communication from supervisor through all communication platforms including texts, phone calls, emails, BambooHR, GroupMe, and other company systems in a timely manner
  • Working in full alignment with company policies and procedures
