About The Position

Openwork is hiring an experienced Retail Associate / Inventory professional for an established public-safety retail operation in Southeast Houston, TX 77023. This position is primarily retail-focused, combining customer service, sales support, merchandise organization, and inventory duties. We're looking for someone with 2+ years of relevant experience, strong customer-service skills, excellent attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. Candidates should be comfortable working in an environment involving firearm culture and safety.

Requirements

• 2+ years of in-person retail or customer-facing experience — REQUIRED.
• Direct experience assisting customers face-to-face.
• Strong customer-service and communication skills.
• Comfortable working primarily on the retail side of the business.
• Comfortable working in an environment involving firearm culture and safety.
• Willingness and ability to learn new products and procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Basic computer and point-of-sale system skills.
• Dependable attendance and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Ability to meet required background-screening requirements.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and provide friendly, professional service.
• Assist with product selections, purchases, returns, and exchanges.
• Receive, label, stock, and organize merchandise.
• Maintain a clean and organized retail sales floor.
• Monitor inventory and replenish products as needed.
• Assist with inventory counts and verify incoming shipments.
• Maintain accurate product and inventory records.
• Follow company procedures involving firearm awareness and workplace safety.
• Support additional retail and warehouse duties as needed.
