About The Position

Vuori is seeking a Retail Assistant Store Manager to help the Retail Store Manager lead the retail sales team. The role sets an example by building customer connections, communicating Vuori’s brand values through product knowledge and an optimistic outlook, and encouraging the team to maintain retail sales and customer experience standards. The Assistant Store Manager helps create memorable customer experiences, supports day-to-day store operations when the Store Manager is away, motivates the team to achieve sales goals in a team-based commission environment, and assists with inventory, merchandising, store maintenance, and shipment processing. The role also supports sales strategy, community and team management, and safe opening and closing procedures. The position requires morning and/or evening availability, 8-hour shifts five days per week, and availability for at least one weekend day. The work involves active movement throughout a fast-paced retail store, lifting and moving products and equipment, and working around bright lights and music. The hourly range is $24.70–$29.70, plus team pooled commission.

Responsibilities

Work with the sales team to ensure each customer receives the best experience possible.
Take ownership of the sales floor and sales team, keeping customer experience the first priority.
Prepare fitting rooms, find sizes, and provide customers with knowledgeable and honest feedback on merchandise style and fit.
Build customer relationships by discussing product details, new products, and replenishment, and inviting customers to events.
Stay informed about new and popular products and share that knowledge with customers and the team.
Lead day-to-day store operations when the Store Manager is not present.
Motivate the sales team and work toward sales goals in a team-based commission environment.
Develop product knowledge of the broader fashion and activewear landscape.
Lead projects while maintaining a focus on customer experience and communicate inventory needs.
Assist the Store Inventory Lead with shipments and inventory management.
Work with the Retail Store Manager on daily maintenance, sales strategy, community, and team management.
Lead daily store maintenance, including restocking, visual merchandising, and cleaning.
Follow protocol and safety standards when opening and closing the store.
Encourage employees, under the Retail Store Manager’s guidance, to contribute fully and meet punctuality and role expectations.
Complete weekly manual restock and send a report to inventory management.
Complete weekly cycle counts and assist with processing weekly shipments.
Ensure store supplies are stocked and communicate supply needs monthly.
Process online returns and defective products as needed and ship them to the warehouse.
Ensure daily restock and destock tasks are handled.
Help keep the backroom clean and bins organized.
Manage Aloha displays, refreshing and restocking them weekly.
Manage mannequin refreshes and check one-offs.
Ensure merchandising standards are maintained on the sales floor.
