About The Position

The Retail Assistant Store Manager helps the Retail Store Manager lead the retail sales team and communicate Vuori’s brand values through product knowledge, customer connections, and an optimistic approach. The role supports the team in maintaining Vuori’s standards for retail sales and customer experience, and leads daily store operations when the Retail Store Manager is away. The Assistant Store Manager helps drive sales and customer relationships, supports inventory and shipment processing, and maintains store presentation, cleanliness, and operational standards. The position also assists with daily maintenance, sales strategy, community and team management, and safe opening and closing procedures.

Requirements

Available mornings and/or evenings and able to work 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week, including at least one weekend day.
Demonstrated punctuality and reliable attendance, adhering to scheduled shifts.
Ability to develop relationships with customers and colleagues.
Customer service expertise, including creating experiences, developing customer relationships, embracing the social aspect of sales, and handling customer concerns positively and proactively.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Help lead the retail sales team and model strong customer connections, product knowledge, and brand values.
Work with the sales team to provide an excellent customer experience and prioritize customers on the sales floor.
Prepare fitting rooms, locate sizes, and provide informed feedback about merchandise style and fit.
Build customer relationships by discussing product details, new products, and replenishment, and inviting customers to events.
Stay informed about new and popular products and share knowledge with customers and the team.
Lead day-to-day store operations when the Retail Store Manager is not present.
Motivate the sales team and work toward sales goals in a team-based commission environment.
Develop product knowledge in fashion and activewear and lead the team in completing projects with customer experience as a priority.
Communicate inventory needs and assist the Store Inventory Lead with shipments and inventory management.
Work with the Retail Store Manager on daily maintenance, sales strategy, community, and team management.
Lead daily store maintenance, including restocking, visual merchandising, and cleaning.
Follow protocols and safety standards when opening and closing the store.
Encourage employees, under the Retail Store Manager’s guidance, to meet expectations for effort, punctuality, and role responsibilities.
Complete weekly manual restocks and send reports to inventory management.
Complete weekly cycle counts and assist with processing weekly shipments.
Monitor store supply levels and communicate needs monthly.
Process online returns and defective products as needed and ship them to the warehouse.
Ensure daily restock and destock tasks are completed and help keep the backroom clean and organized.
Manage and refresh Aloha displays weekly.
Manage mannequin refreshes and check one-offs.
Ensure merchandising standards are maintained on the sales floor.
