About The Position

We’re looking for a detail‑driven Retail Accounting Supervisor to ensure accurate store financial reporting and lead a team of Retail Accounting Coordinators. This role focuses on auditing sales, expenses, inventory, and cash management while supporting store teams and developing staff.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in retail, inventory, customer service, or supervision.
  • Knowledge of retail inventory and cash management processes.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, adapt, maintain confidentiality, and work as part of a team.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Comfortable with navigating multiple technology platforms
  • Ability to learn new technology platforms as needed (example: new POS system)
  • Knowledge and ability to use a personal computer
  • Ability to adapt to change
  • Ability to analyze store data and provide feedback
  • Proficient typing and 10 key skills
  • Possess a valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed analysis and investigation of cash variances to ensure accurate reporting of cash variances
  • Review reports for accurate sales, expenses, inventory, and cash over/short.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, lottery, money orders, food delivery, and other GL accounts.
  • Analyze and review reports of missing sales or incorrectly rang up sales and correct as needed
  • Communicate procedure updates and request missing information from stores.
  • Answer store questions and research paperwork issues.
  • Maintain contact with the retail locations on any changes made to paperwork.
  • Supervise, mentor, and train team members.
  • Support complex research on cash.
  • Set goals, track progress, and provide performance feedback.
  • Create and deliver training materials.
  • Collaborate with other departments on process improvements and troubleshooting.
  • Develop procedures and reporting tools to improve accuracy and efficiency.
