About The Position

A premier international law firm is seeking a Restructuring & Special Situations Finance Associate Attorney to join its Dallas office. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing lenders, private credit funds, private equity sponsors, distressed investors, and borrowers in sophisticated restructuring, special situations, and finance transactions.

Requirements

  • Attorneys in law school classes 2020–2024 are encouraged to apply
  • Experience handling finance, restructuring, bankruptcy, or special situations transactions gained at a sophisticated law firm
  • Experience representing lenders, private credit funds, distressed investors, private equity sponsors, borrowers, or other financial institutions
  • Experience with leveraged finance, secured lending, acquisition financings, workouts, restructurings, and distressed transactions
  • Experience drafting and negotiating credit agreements, security documents, intercreditor agreements, restructuring agreements, and related transaction documentation
  • Working knowledge of Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code, bankruptcy principles, and secured lending concepts
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage sophisticated matters while working directly with clients and transaction teams
  • Excellent academic credentials
  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required
  • Texas bar admission required or ability to become admitted

Nice To Haves

  • Experience advising clients in connection with Chapter 11 proceedings, liability management transactions, distressed acquisitions, or out-of-court restructurings is preferred

  • Advising clients in connection with Chapter 11 proceedings, liability management transactions, distressed acquisitions, or out-of-court restructurings.
  • Managing sophisticated matters while working directly with clients and transaction teams.
