About The Position

The Restroom Custodian cleans and maintains restroom facilities in Big Pine Key, Florida. The part-time schedule is Thursday and Saturday, with a three-hour shift between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m. or 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. The listed salary is $25.42.

The role includes sweeping and wet-mopping floors; cleaning and disinfecting toilets, urinals, sinks, countertops, mirrors, stalls, doors, and high-touch surfaces; emptying trash and sanitary waste bins; replacing liners; restocking restroom supplies; and spot-cleaning walls. The custodian is expected to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment and to stand, bend, and squat for extended periods.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Sweep and wet-mop restroom floors, removing dirt, mud, dust, insects, debris, and shoe scuff marks; clean corners and edges where debris accumulates.
• Clean and disinfect toilets and urinals, including bowls, rims, seats, lids, exterior surfaces, and flush handles; replace urinal deodorizer as needed.
• Clean and disinfect sinks, faucets, and countertops, removing soap residue, water spots, fingerprints, and stains.
• Clean mirrors with glass cleaner and leave them streak-free and smudge-free.
• Clean and disinfect stall partitions, doors, handles, latches, and entrance door handles; remove fingerprints, dirt, and grime from interior and exterior surfaces.
• Empty trash receptacles and sanitary disposal bins, replace liners as needed, and dispose of waste in the designated dumpster.
• Maintain adequate supplies of toilet paper (including a spare roll in each dispenser), paper towels, liquid soap, and sanitary disposal liners.
• Spot-clean walls to remove dirt, spider webs, insects, and marks; disinfect high-touch wall surfaces as needed.
