About The Position
Restorative Nursing Assistant (RNA) – Full-Time Arvin Post Acute – Arvin, CA Pay Range: $18.00–$18.50/hour BOE Arvin Post Acute is seeking a compassionate and motivated Restorative Nursing Assistant (RNA) to join our dedicated team. This position plays a vital role in helping residents maintain and improve their mobility, independence, and quality of life through restorative nursing programs and resident-centered care.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Current California CNA certification required
- Restorative Nursing Assistant (RNA) training required
- CPR certification if required by licensure
- Must maintain certifications in good standing
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to work effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Compassionate and resident-focused approach to care
Nice To Haves
- One year of long-term care experience preferred
- Experience with PointClickCare preferred
Responsibilities
- Provides assigned residents with routine restorative nursing care and services in accordance with the resident’s assessment and care plan, as directed by the supervisor.
- Assist residents with restorative exercises to improve or maintain mobility, strength, and independence
- Encourage participation in activities and out-of-bed mobility unless medically contraindicated
- Assist with ambulation, transfers, dining, splinting, and range-of-motion activities as directed
- Obtain and accurately record resident weights and report significant changes
- Assist residents with bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, and other ADLs
- Reposition residents regularly to promote comfort and skin integrity
- Promote personal hygiene and maintain a clean, comfortable environment
- Participate in RNA meetings with Rehabilitation and Nursing Departments
- Complete timely and accurate documentation in PointClickCare
- Observe and report changes in resident condition promptly
- Assist residents with appointments, treatments, meals, and activities
- Apply pressure-relieving devices and implement skin protection measures
- Maintain a positive, respectful, and therapeutic environment for residents
