Requirements

Must be a Certified Nursing assistant in good standing with the State and maintain certification throughout employment with Avalon
Meet State and federal requirements, generally 12 hours, in service education
Must have the ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions in English.
Recent education or clinical hours are required.
You need to be at least 18 years old.
Must pass criminal background investigation, reference inquiry

Responsibilities

Prioritizing comfort while assisting Residents in achieving their highest level of function
Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
Monitoring vital signs to include temperature, pulse, respirations, and blood pressure
Maintaining a safe environment and assisting with fall-risk precautions
Interdepartmental communications within care team
Prepare residents for meals. Assist residents in eating as needed. Utilize restorative techniques to promote resident independence and highest functional level
Record progress in the Restorative Record. read and follow daily care plans; report changes in resident condition to Nurse in charge; document care provision on residents record/flow sheets as required and report accidents and incidents
Monitor restorative equipment for quantity, quality, and cleanliness
