About The Position

Award Care is seeking a qualified Restorative Nursing Aide to join its community in Palm Bay, Florida. The aide provides direct restorative care and encourages residents to participate in their assigned programs. The position also requires documenting resident participation and notifying management of changes. The successful candidate helps improve care systems and processes through responsible healthcare and new ideas.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Certification or registration in the state of practice.
• Maintain at least 12 hours of continuing education to maintain certification.
• Compassionate, team-oriented, and dedicated approach to the work.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of experience in a setting serving the same age or type of resident population as the facility.
• Knowledge and skills in basic Restorative Nursing principles and practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to residents receiving restorative nursing to help them attain and maintain maximum functional potential and minimize functional decline.
• Provide restorative care involving restorative dining, splints, activities of daily living, bowel and bladder management, passive and active range of motion, ambulation, and transfers.
• Encourage residents to participate in assigned programs through verbal cueing, one-on-one assistance, and safety precautions.
• Maintain documentation for each resident participating in the Restorative Program and notify management of resident changes.
• Contribute ideas and concepts that improve systems and processes and support superior results.
