Restorative Justice Officer

Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
- Must be willing to attend out-of-state Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) or Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) training within six months of hire.
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
- A valid Alaska Driver’s license and the ability to be insured on CVTC’s vehicle insurance policy is a requirement of this position.
- Must complete and pass a pre-employment state and federal background check and drug screening as a condition of employment.
- Subject to random drug testing.
Nice To Haves
- College coursework in Criminal Justice, Social Work, Behavioral Sciences, or a related field is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Tribal Court, treatment providers, Elders, and community partners to support participant success through restorative justice and reentry planning.
- Maintain accurate case documentation and court reports.
- Participate in ongoing professional development.
- Contribute to program improvement.
- Uphold organizational standards while advancing culturally grounded healing, accountability, and community wellness.
