About The Position

Biohabitats, a leading conservation planning, ecological restoration, regenerative design, and construction firm is seeking a Restoration Field Technician - Seasonal to join our self-perform construction team in our Portland, Oregon location. Our self-perform construction crews are led by restoration specialists who manage projects from a values and people first mindset. This opportunity is for a Green Street Infrastructure project in the Portland Metro area during the summer of 2026. Estimated timeframe is June 1 - October 15, 2026. The project’s focus is natural area vegetation maintenance and irrigation, including invasive vegetation identification and removal. Successful candidates for the position have experience in and enjoy performing a variety of field and construction tasks, but prior experience is not required. Applicants must be self-motivated and passionate about the environment. They should be sincerely interested in physically restoring the earth and inspiring ecological stewardship.

Requirements

• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and variable terrain.
• Experience working on a crew and following directions.
• Ability to perform physical labor, safely use hand and power tools, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in a public-facing role, respectfully representing Biohabitats and our clients.
• Driver's license required - ability to follow all traffic laws.
• Commitment to Biohabitats’ safety program.
