About The Position

At Panera Bread, Restaurant Team Members bring warmth, care, and joy to every guest interaction. They help create meaningful guest experiences, support the bakery-cafe’s business, and serve local communities. Team members work in assigned areas of the bakery-cafe, which may include Production, Prep, Service, Cashier, Expo, Drive-Thru, Barista, Guest Experience Champion, or QC. They welcome guests, prepare fresh food, assist throughout the cafe, maintain a clean and safe environment, and support the team’s daily operations.

Requirements

Meet the minimum age requirement of 16 years.
Be able to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.
Clearly communicate and quickly understand directions from guests, managers, and team members in a loud environment.
Have strong interpersonal skills and enjoy making people smile.
Be passionate about creating comfort, connection, and joy for guests.
Thrive in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
Be reliable, punctual, and flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Complete basic food safety understanding and practice training; a Food Handler’s Card is required where mandated by law.
Enjoy working with food.

Food service experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Represent Panera Warmth and provide excellent service during guest interactions.
Carry out duties in an assigned bakery-cafe area, such as Production, Prep, Service, Cashier, Expo, Drive-Thru, Barista, Guest Experience Champion, or QC.
Greet every guest with warmth and enthusiasm.
Prepare salads, soups, and sandwiches accurately and efficiently.
Assist guests at the entrance, cashier, and dining areas.
Maintain a clean, safe, and inviting environment by following food safety standards and cleaning protocols.
Stay informed about daily priorities and adapt positively to changes.
Complete cleaning and stocking duties and help prepare for the next shift.
