Responsibilities
- Ensures guests are attended to in a prompt, efficient, and personalized manner.
- Acts as a liaison between the service staff and kitchen team to ensure timely and effective communication.
- Ensures the restaurant and related facilities are clean, well-stocked, and organized; inspects equipment and notifies the Restaurant Manager of any maintenance or repair needs.
- Verifies room setup according to reservation or event requirements.
- Ensures all side work is completed, including cleaning equipment and storage areas.
- Assists the Food and Beverage Manager with maintaining food and beverage inventory.
- Assists with the completion of daily operational reports.
- Participates in all meetings required of this role.
- Performs daily operational duties, including serving tables, bussing tables, seating guests, room service, and general clerical or cashier responsibilities.
- Occasionally assists department managers with interviewing, training, planning, assigning, and directing work, as well as providing recommendations regarding hiring, performance evaluations, recognition, and disciplinary actions.
- Addresses guest concerns, resolves issues when possible, and communicates them to management as needed.
- Assists in coordinating team members.
- Assists in monitoring business volume forecasts and planning staffing levels, productivity, costs, and other expenses accordingly.
- Incorporates safe work practices into all job duties.
- Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
