About The Position

The Restaurant Supervisor is responsible and accountable for the administration, operation, and direct management of the restaurant. This role involves developing and assisting with the business plan and budget, managing inventory and ordering, and leading a team of servers, hosts, cashiers, and utility staff. The supervisor will also be involved in training, interviewing, performance management, and ensuring appropriate staffing levels. Additionally, the role requires developing and implementing safety programs to reduce injuries and collaborating with other departmental managers.

Requirements

  • Three (3) years’ experience in restaurant supervision and/or management, purchasing and inventory control.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license as determined by the Maryland State Lottery and Gaming Commission for the position.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an Alcohol Beverage Control card.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable health certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and assist in a supervisory capacity with the business plan and budget for the restaurant.
  • Responsible for inventory control and ordering supplies, food and drink necessary to operate the restaurant.
  • Developing servers, host, cashiers and utility staff.
  • Training, interviewing for new hires, assisting with performance management inclusive of disciplinary counseling and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Review staffing levels to maintain budgeted level of employment.
  • Delegate authority and assign duties as necessary.
  • Review departmental status with Manager.
  • Develop, implement and supervise programs and processes to reduce and control loss time injuries.
  • Meet with departmental directors and managers as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.
