About The Position

The Shift Lead is responsible for leading daily restaurant operations and ensuring every guest receives an exceptional experience. This role serves as the leader on duty, coaching team members, maintaining food quality, driving speed of service, and ensuring operational excellence. The ideal candidate leads by example, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about developing others while delivering results.

Requirements

  • Previous restaurant leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Positive attitude with a servant leadership mindset.
  • Ability to multitask in a high-volume environment.
  • Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
  • Open availability, including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead shifts with confidence, urgency, and professionalism.
  • Coach, motivate, and develop team members throughout each shift.
  • Set the standard for hospitality, teamwork, and accountability.
  • Assist in training new employees and reinforcing company procedures.
  • Address guest concerns professionally and resolve issues quickly.
  • Ensure food is prepared to sneakybird quality standards.
  • Maintain ticket times and drive fast, accurate service.
  • Monitor labor deployment and adjust team positioning throughout the shift.
  • Complete opening and/or closing procedures.
  • Ensure all checklists are completed before leaving the restaurant.
  • Maintain proper cash handling and POS procedures.
  • Enforce food safety, sanitation, and health department standards.
  • Ensure the restaurant remains clean, organized, and stocked.
  • Verify proper food rotation, labeling, and storage.
  • Maintain equipment and report maintenance concerns promptly.
  • Hold team members accountable to company standards.
  • Delegate responsibilities effectively.
  • Recognize strong performance and coach opportunities for improvement.
  • Communicate shift performance, operational issues, and staffing needs with management.
