This role involves taking food and beverage orders and efficiently delivering items to dining room guests. The server will greet guests warmly, take orders efficiently, and deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards. A thorough understanding of menu items and ingredients is essential, along with the ability to advise guests and accommodate reasonable requests. Communication with back-of-the-house staff is key to ensure correct orders and special requests are met. The server will also handle cash-handling procedures, promote a clean and safe environment, and address guest complaints or issues promptly. Setup and breakdown of the dining room, operation of various equipment, and collaboration with other departments for special events are also part of the duties.
