About The Position

Responsible for providing friendly, attentive, and responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for all of our guests. The primary objective is to create a personalized experience for our guests that will make them want to return and recommend us to others.

Requirements

  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome and connect with every customer. Discover customer needs and make recommendations you genuinely feel your guests will enjoy
  • Be incredibly friendly, customer centric, smile and radiate a positive and accommodating attitude while interacting with customers
  • Answer questions about our food, beverages and other restaurant or hotel functions and services
  • Take food and beverage orders from guests, enter orders in POS system
  • Prepare coffee barista drinks, specialty drinks and food orders
  • Perform running side work and opening & closing duties throughout your shift as required by service station assignment
  • Maintain a clean and organized work and service area
  • Ensure guests are satisfied with the beverage, food, and service. Respond promptly and courteously to any requests
  • Prepare final bill, present check to the guest, accept payment, process credit card charges or make change if applicable
  • Responsible for following hotel cash handling procedures
  • Use the L.E.A.R.N Model for all guest recovery incidents that occur (Listen, Empathize, Apologize, React, Notify)
  • Always have a friendly and welcoming demeanor when interacting with our guests
  • Teamwork – offer to help or ask for help from your team members as situations arise
  • Complete food safety and alcohol serve certification
  • Have the ability to hand carry a minimum of three plates. All servers will be sharing in the food running
  • Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Bistro as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor
  • Notify Supervisor/Manager of any problems with cleaning or equipment
  • Fill out maintenance work orders and deliver to supervisor/manager or designated area in a timely manner
  • Responsible for knowing all hotel emergency procedures
  • Follow all hotel safety guidelines and requirements
  • Responsible for following all hotel quality assurance standards for department
  • Responsible for the proper administration of keys left by guests
  • Bring all lost and found items to the supervisor’s or manager’s office for logging and storage
  • Accommodate guest special requests courteously
  • Answer guest questions regarding hotel and local area facilities and services
  • Carry out any reasonable request by management that I am capable of performing
