About The Position

PENN Entertainment is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join their team as Restaurant Servers. This role is responsible for fostering a fun environment, acting as a gracious host, and promoting a positive influence within the community. Servers will ensure guest interactions follow the ACES Service Program guidelines, monitor alcohol consumption, and promote gaming events. The position involves processing transactions, maintaining a clean workstation, and complying with all relevant policies and regulations. Servers will be responsible for serving, pre-bussing, bussing, and cleaning their section and assisting teammates, as well as performing opening and closing side work. They will also expedite and run food, keep the restaurant clean and organized, and be knowledgeable about the menu and drinks. Tipping out bartenders and rolling silverware are also part of the duties. The role requires participation in end-of-shift tasks as a team and working special events as needed.

  • Must qualify for licensing by Ohio Lottery Commission.

  • Able to work at a very fast pace and walk long distances throughout the shift.
  • Able to pass a background check.
  • Must have open availability including all three shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Able to respond to visual and oral cues.
  • Must meet professional appearance standards as prescribed by company policy.
  • Must be comfortable and capable learning new software.

Responsibilities

  • Fostering a fun environment.

  • Monitoring guest consumption of alcohol and intervening as needed according to company policy and T.I.P.S training.
  • Promoting gaming events and promotions.
  • Processing cash and credit card transactions for guests while maintaining the integrity of all financial controls and responsibilities.
  • Maintaining a clean and stocked workstation.
  • Complying with state, company, and department policies and regulations.
  • Serving, pre-bussing, bussing and cleaning your section and your teammates section (full-hands in and full-hands out).
  • Rolling silverware and cleaning during down time.
  • Performing all opening and closing side work at the direction of your supervisor or manager.
  • Helping team members ensure guest is served in a timely manner.
  • Expediting and running food for all tables.
  • Keeping the restaurant clean, organized, and sanitized.
  • Understanding and articulating the menu and drinks to guests.
  • Tipping out bartenders.
  • Stocking and cleaning your section.
  • Participating in end of shift rolling silverware and completion of side work, as a team, until it is all completed.
  • Working special events, as needed.
  • Performing other duties, as needed.
