About The Position

Esplanade at Madeira Ranch, Elk Grove’s premier resort-style community, is now hiring restaurant servers to join our opening team! As we launch our brand-new restaurant and bar, The Barrel House Bistro, we are seeking friendly, service-driven individuals who are passionate about hospitality and creating exceptional dining experiences. Our servers play a key role in delivering a welcoming, elevated experience for our members, from taking orders and serving food and beverages to ensuring every guest feels valued and taken care of. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a growing team and help shape the service culture from day one. Weekend availability is required. Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Food Safety and Sanitation Training and Alcohol Awareness Training required.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to read and speak English may be required to perform the duties of the job (e.g., associates may be required to communicate with English-speaking customers or co-workers; manuals for equipment used may be in English).
  • Meets state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages.
  • Knowledge of POS systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provides immediate attention to all guests upon seating.
  • Describes daily specials to guests. Answers questions regarding menu items and offers suggestions when appropriate.
  • Takes food and beverage orders from guests and delivers food promptly after preparation.
  • Follows up with guests to ensure satisfaction. Replenishes items as needed.
  • Participates in pre-shift meetings and taste tests.
  • Maintains an organized workstation and completes side work duties.
  • Is accountable for checks and cash transactions. Utilizes the Point of Sale (POS) system.
  • Follows established systems for taking, placing, and delivering orders.
  • Follows established standards for greeting, cocktail service, food delivery, and general service techniques.
  • Practices tray service for all food and beverage service.
  • Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
  • Performs other duties as required.
