About The Position

Hotel Thaynes Park City, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, is seeking a Restaurant Server for the PM Shift. As part of the Marriott family, this role contributes to creating signature experiences for guests. The server will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, explaining menu items, ensuring guest satisfaction, and up-selling specials to maximize revenue. This position requires a positive attitude, professionalism, and adherence to company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Radiate a positive and accommodating attitude while interacting with customers.
  • Become informed of kitchen/food shortages and relay them to guests when necessary.
  • Become informed of daily/weekly specials and explain all menu items and methods of cooking/preparation to customers.
  • Describe all menu items, methods of preparation, and prices as needed and/or requested by customers.
  • Ensure that any special requests that the kitchen is able to deliver for the guest are met.
  • Up-sell established menu items or specials to maximize food and beverage revenues.
  • Serve menu items to guests in a prompt and courteous manner and according to established service standards.
  • Perform pre- and post-shift side work including stocking service stations and making coffee.
  • Forward customer payments to the cashier for transaction completion; receive change from cashier and return change promptly to the guest.
  • Receive direct and indirect customer feedback regarding their dining experience and relay feedback to proper management.
  • Respond quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner.
  • Report serious guest requests to the appropriate supervisor and follow up to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • May assist Greeter/Cashier with greeting and seating guests.
  • May assist the bus person with clearing tables and filling glasses.
  • Provide a professional image at all times through appearance and dress.
  • Follow company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
