The Handlebar Restaurant Server Assistant
About The Position
The Handlebar Restaurant Server Assistant supports restaurant service by welcoming guests, providing water and introductory service, and assisting servers with all aspects of service. The role includes answering questions about menu offerings and specials when a server is unavailable, maintaining and resetting dining areas, communicating service information to colleagues and management, delivering food with clear descriptions, and using the resort computer system to process sales and checks. The position also involves anticipating guest and coworker needs, stocking restaurant items, and cleaning as needed. The successful candidate is expected to meet Four Seasons standards and learn the Sequence of Service.
Requirements
- Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent English.
- Ability to push, pull, or lift up to 50 pounds.
- Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in the United States.

Responsibilities
- Greet guests and provide water and introductory service.
- Assist Restaurant Servers with all aspects of service.
- Answer questions about the menu, other offerings, and specials when a server is immediately unavailable.
- Clear, clean, and set up tables, chairs, linens, glassware, and silverware.
- Communicate with servers, restaurant employees, and supervisors or management about regular service, special requests, service issues, and other important information.
- Move tables and chairs throughout the restaurant as needed.
- Meet Four Seasons standards and learn the Sequence of Service.
- Deliver food and provide eloquent food descriptions in a synchronized manner.
- Use the resort computer system to ring up sales, print checks, close checks, and complete closing readings.
- Anticipate the needs of guests and coworkers.
- Stock restaurant items and clean as needed.
