Responsibilities

  • Source, quote, negotiate, purchase and execute contracts for supply chain.
  • Manage compliance program, including but not limited to: audits, communication, and follow-ups with internal teams to ensure issues are resolved.
  • Complete supplier program negotiations that support category plans, including rebate programs, volume programs, pricing strategies and promotional items.
  • Manage, support, and work with the other members of the purchasing team to ensure all matters are handled and communicated in a timely manner.
  • Promotion Planning: develop effective item and category promotional plans through historical and market trend analysis and review, along with forecasting.
  • Build, manage, and maintain healthy relationships with suppliers.
  • Research and negotiate best deals possible.
  • Review existing contracts to determine if price and rebate opportunities exist; re-negotiate where applicable.
  • Develop supplier improvements in quality, delivery, and cost initiatives.
  • Manage supplier programs for process and cost efficiencies, including vendor contract compliance.
  • Maintain all contracts to ensure they are fully negotiated, executed, and current.
  • Focus on delivering improved cost of goods to the entire system by staying ahead of commodity trends.
  • Issue and complete regular requests for proposals (RFP’s) and execute regular reviews.
  • Work directly with suppliers to resolve any issues or concerns that may arise.
  • Analyze market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful buying decisions.
  • Communicate program changes or updates to parties directly related to the deal in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Create commodity and product reports to communicate to franchise owners via all approved communication channels.
  • Maintain open communication and compliance with owner operators in regard to product trends and analysis to effectively keep owners informed and on-program.
  • Run item or category reports and complete KPI’s, vendor paperwork, applications, and other information as needed.
