About The Position
Merkin Vineyards Hilltop Winery & Trattoria is hiring cooks to join its existing restaurant team. The restaurant pairs Arizona wines with freshly made breads, pasta, entrees, salads, and wood-oven pizzas. Cooks prepare fresh food for daily use, stock stations, execute menu items, maintain food quality, and keep their work areas clean, sanitary, and organized. The role requires at least two years of experience in a full-service restaurant and a Yavapai County Food Worker Certificate. Compensation is competitive and negotiable depending on experience.
Requirements
- Two or more years of experience in a full-service restaurant.
- Yavapai County Food Worker Certificate.
- Team-oriented, dependable, adaptable, goal-oriented, self-managed, and collaborative approach to work.
Responsibilities
- Prepare fresh food products for daily use.
- Supply all stations to support efficient and consistent culinary practices and procedures.
- Order, prepare, cook, plate, and send all menu items.
- Ensure food items meet or exceed taste and plating profiles.
- Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the work area.
