About The Position

Piatti is hiring Line Cooks and Prep Cooks for its Italian restaurant. Cooks prepare and set up high-quality food products in their assigned kitchen area, following departmental quality standards and specifications. They help deliver an excellent dining experience in a fast-paced environment where creativity and precision are valued. The role also involves keeping work areas and equipment organized, clean, and sanitary to support smooth kitchen operations and a safe, pleasant environment for staff and guests.

Piatti, established in 1987, is a neighborhood Italian trattoria focused on authentic Italian cuisine and house-made pasta. It is a division of Palisades Hospitality, a Northern California hospitality management company that manages and develops a portfolio of more than 20 hotels and restaurants.

Requirements

• Attention to detail, speed, and accuracy in preparing and cooking dishes.
• Ability to prioritize, organize, and follow through on tasks in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Clear thinking, problem-solving skills, and good judgment.
• Teamwork and strong communication skills.
• Basic arithmetic abilities.
• Willingness to support teammates.

Responsibilities

• Prep, set up, and prepare high-quality food products in an assigned kitchen area.
• Follow departmental quality standards and specifications.
• Maintain organization, cleanliness, and sanitation of work areas and equipment.
• For Line Cook duties, prep and cook dishes accurately and efficiently to meet quality standards.
• Prioritize and organize tasks to support smooth kitchen operations.
• Use clear thinking and good judgment to resolve challenges during food preparation.
• Communicate and support teammates.
