Denny's is seeking a motivated Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations in Sun City. Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the restaurant industry as a restaurant manager.
  • Strong knowledge of family restaurant management.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, holidays, and weekends (as Denny's is a 24-hour, 365-day operation).
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent organization and leadership skills.
  • Proven organizational skills; ability to take direction, prioritize tasks, and work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Dependable and reliable.
  • Strong analytical, independent thinking, and problem-resolution skills.
  • Ability to understand and respond appropriately to requests and use independent judgment to take proper action.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts "walk-throughs" as required by Brand Standards to ensure compliance with sanitation, food safety, and service standards.
  • Measures and records temperatures of all equipment once per shift as required by Brand Standards.
  • Assigns duties to staff to correct deficiencies identified during walk-throughs or temperature checks.
  • Supervises restaurant operations during shifts, assisting staff as needed to ensure high levels of guest service, food preparation, and cleanliness.
  • Contributes to restaurant profitability through effective cost control methods, including monitoring prep/pull charts, reviewing food preparation, controlling waste, auditing guest checks, inspecting deliveries, and overseeing cash control policies.
  • Controls labor costs by effectively managing staff according to guest count flow to meet budgeted labor costs.
  • Assists the General Manager in recruiting and staffing the restaurant.
  • Covers call-offs and absences to ensure compliance with service, food, safety, and cleanliness standards.
  • Ensures new employees are properly oriented and trained according to Denny's Brand Standards.
  • Responds to guest requests and complaints, resolving them appropriately.
  • Performs daily cash reconciliation and takes deposits to the bank.
  • Performs daily and weekly administrative duties as assigned.
  • Conducts inventories and orders food, non-ingredient items, and other supplies as assigned.
  • Ensures equipment is functioning properly or contacts service companies for repairs in accordance with restaurant policy.
