About The Position

Harvest Restaurants is seeking a highly motivated, passionate Manager to lead ROOTS. Harvest Restaurants has 14 restaurants and is growing. Their concepts include high-end steakhouse, farm-to-table, Italian, and new American. Locations include: Morris Plains, Morristown, Princeton, Berkeley Heights, Westfield, Summit, Basking Ridge, and Ridgewood. As a leader at Harvest Restaurants, you will be part of a team dedicated to creating a work environment where team members are set up for success, feel inspired, and have a great time. Reporting to the GM, you will be responsible for training, scheduling, and managing the Front of House team in alignment with company values. Clear communication and instruction in standards and steps of service are crucial to achieving consistent, high-quality, memorable guest experiences. You will set the example for quality by observing and monitoring food and beverage preparation, portion sizes, garnishing, and presentation to ensure adherence to high company standards from ingredient sourcing to table service. You will set the example for service by responding to guest inquiries, proactively supporting servers, maintaining a strong floor presence to anticipate and address issues, and investigating and resolving guest concerns. You will set the example for compliance by ensuring staff understands and follows all company standards and governmental regulations for food safety and service. You will also adhere to all federal and state labor laws and resolve building maintenance issues. You will assist in monitoring the restaurant's financials by supporting the GM in taking and maintaining inventory, making projections, creating budgets, managing P&L, reporting on financials, and running payroll.

Nice To Haves

  • A high school diploma
  • 3 years of restaurant management experience
  • Serve Safe certification (must be received before the sixth month employment anniversary)
  • Familiarity with Compeat, Payloicty, 7Shifts, Microsoft Office, and Google platform applications (i.e., Gmail, Calendar, Google Docs, etc.)
