We are seeking a Restaurant Manager who brings presence, precision, and passion to lead daily operations, inspire teams, and deliver a consistently elevated guest experience reflective of our legacy as a place where important happens.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive restaurant leadership experience within luxury, unionized, or high-volume hospitality environments
  • Proven ability to manage day-to-day restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and efficient service
  • Polished, service-oriented leadership style with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities to handle complex operational challenges
  • Track record of building trusted relationships across departments and with key stakeholders
  • Collaborative leader who fosters a positive team culture, motivates staff, and drives consistent high performance
  • Experience in unionized environments is an asset
  • Current Serving It Right certification required
  • Flexible schedule with availability for evenings, weekends, holidays, and early mornings
  • This position requires an active, hands-on leadership presence on the floor.
  • The Restaurant Manager must be able to: Stand and walk for extended periods during shifts
  • Lift and carry items weighing up to 30 lbs
  • Frequently bend, kneel, push, pull, and navigate stairs while supporting daily operations
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of Notch8, ensuring a refined, seamless, and consistently exceptional dining experience
  • Set the tone for service excellence through visible, hands-on leadership, anticipating guest needs and resolving concerns with professionalism and care
  • Inspire, coach, and develop a high-performing team through ongoing feedback, recognition, and structured performance management
  • Partner closely with Culinary and Stewarding teams to ensure alignment in execution, quality, and presentation
  • Drive operational excellence by implementing and refining standards, procedures, and service rituals that elevate the guest experience
  • Support financial performance through effective cost control, labour management, and contribution to budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Ensure optimal staffing and scheduling aligned with business volumes, productivity targets, and labour agreements
  • Collaborate with Event Operations and Sales teams to deliver exceptional private dining and special event experiences within Notch8
  • Champion a positive and inclusive team culture, proactively managing colleague engagement, communication, and development
  • Contribute to the evolution of the Notch8 experience through creative programming, promotions, and guest-driven enhancements
  • Uphold and champion all health, safety, and sanitation standards
