The Kingston Marriott Hotel is looking for a Host to be the first point of contact for our guests and help create a warm, inviting, and organized dining experience. Requirements

  • Basic reading, writing, and math skills required.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
  • Strong communication skills when interacting with guests and team members.
  • Ability to read, write, and complete basic paperwork and cash reports.
  • Basic math skills required for cash handling and transactions.
  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • 6 months of cash handling or food service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests promptly and courteously upon arrival.
  • Seat guests while ensuring a balanced workload among servers.
  • Maintain an accurate waitlist and notify guests when their table is ready.
  • Assist with assigning server sections and communicating daily specials.
  • Process take-out and room service orders when required.
  • Handle cash transactions, including processing payments and balancing the cash drawer.
  • Assist with clearing, cleaning, and setting tables as needed.
  • Respond to guest requests quickly and professionally to ensure satisfaction.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and follow all brand standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned while following all Company and Marriott Brand Standards.
