About The Position
The Restaurant Host at Nordstrom’s Marketplace Café greets and seats customers promptly and professionally, and shares knowledge and enthusiasm about the restaurant’s menu and products. The role also helps train new employees by reinforcing successful performance and offering assistance, and supports other restaurant areas as requested, including answering phones, processing financial transactions, stocking, cleanup, and documentation. Hours and schedule vary by week based on business needs.
Requirements
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and coworkers.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule.
- Food handler’s card where required by local and state regulations.
Nice To Haves
- 1+ year of experience in food service or hospitality (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Greet and seat customers quickly and professionally.
- Share knowledge and enthusiasm about the restaurant’s menu and products with customers.
- Assist with new employee training by positively reinforcing successful performance and offering assistance as needed.
- Support other restaurant areas as requested, such as answering telephones, completing financial transactions, stock work, cleanup, and documentation.
