About The Position

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Restaurant Host to provide courteous, prompt service to our guests. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patrons, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience from arrival to departure. This role involves managing reservations, seating guests, assisting with take-out orders, and maintaining a clean and safe dining environment. You will also play a key role in communicating guest needs to the culinary team and adhering to the restaurant's Steps of Service.

Requirements

Working knowledge of menu and beverage offerings.
Ability to communicate guest requests, including dietary restrictions, to culinary staff.
Must be safety conscious.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a customer service role, preferably in a restaurant setting.
Familiarity with reservation management systems.

Responsibilities

Provide courteous, prompt service to guests.
Answer incoming phone calls in a timely manner.
Seat guests by finding a clean, available table, pulling out chairs, and placing a clean menu in front of the guest.
Adhere to seating guidelines to ensure equitable distribution amongst servers.
Greet guests upon entering the restaurant with a pleasant smile and superior customer service.
Assist with take-out orders.
Monitor dining areas for seating availability, service, safety, and well-being of guests.
Assist servers when needed.
Thank every guest upon departure, invite them to return, and wish them a fond farewell.
Manage reservations.
Successfully adhere to Steps of Service.
Perform opening and closing duties.
Help to maintain a clean and presentable work environment.
Maintain a positive, outgoing demeanor during service.
Be safety conscious to promote the safety of oneself, co-workers, and guests at all times.
Adhere to company policy and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
