About The Position
Bar Verde at The Grove is seeking a friendly, self-motivated host or hostess committed to providing outstanding customer service. The role involves greeting and seating customers promptly and professionally, sharing knowledge and enthusiasm about the restaurant’s menu and products, and helping train new employees through positive reinforcement and assistance. Hosts may also support other restaurant areas as requested, including answering phones, completing financial transactions, stocking, cleanup, and documentation. Hours and schedules vary by week according to business needs.
Requirements
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and coworkers.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule.
- Food handler’s card where required by local and state regulations.
Nice To Haves
- 1+ year of experience in food service or hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Greet and seat customers quickly and professionally.
- Share knowledge and enthusiasm about the restaurant’s menu and products with customers.
- Assist with training new employees by positively reinforcing successful performance and offering assistance as needed.
- Support other restaurant areas as requested, including answering telephones, completing financial transactions, stock work, cleanup, and documentation.
