GENERAL MANAGER EXPECTATIONS “Live by passion, teamwork, integrity, determination, and excellence” We are looking for someone to join our Management Team reporting to the Director of Operations. They must have strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills, strong problem-solver, and someone who thrives while working under pressure in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for providing direct leadership to established team managers by developing and training them to meet our highest level of standards. You will lead by example demonstrating a commitment to exemplifying a positive, authentic, and professional image towards fellow team members and guests. To be a successful General Manager, you will demonstrate strong leadership and management skills and ensure overall compliance with food/health and safety regulations. Ultimately, an exceptional General Manager should be able to handle stressful situations and achieve excellent customer service within their team and our guests.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of leadership and management experience at a high-volume restaurant
  • 1 year of full-service bar experience
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, 7 shifts or similar products, Toast Tab or similar
  • Open Availability from 6am - 5pm, 7 days a week
  • Has managed an entire restaurant with at least 50 employees
  • All positions often include lifting/moving/loading of 25-pound items and occasionally up to 75 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, talk or hear, use hands and/or reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, taste and smell. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, at least 20" or less; distant vision at 20' or more and color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors), peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and own or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point), depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships), and the ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

  • Hands on approach leadership. Be able to effectively be a team leader and shift manager as needed to support your team
  • Directly manages team leaders for all front of house operations – 1 team leader per team (Hosts, Bussers, Food runners, Servers, and Bar)
  • Trains and provides support to management team on all levels of management: Hiring, Terminations, Coaching, Recognition/Reward, Training, Effective Communication, effectively building and maintaining morale
  • Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the restaurant
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations at all times
  • Ongoing and effective communication with your management team and staff
  • Maintains a strong working relationship with the BOH management to ensure comradery and unity between the entire restaurant
  • Responsible for overall budgets, operational costs and maintaining cost efficiency
  • Maintain an environment of excellence in execution and high standards
  • Provide training and support on proven proactive methods of resolving guest concerns and issues
  • Implements protocol in areas of opportunity to improve overall guest experience
  • Ensures management and team is focused on building guest relationships
