About The Position

The Restaurant Food Runner is responsible for setting tables, serving food orders, and removing used dishes and utensils. This role maintains the cleanliness and sanitation of the dining area, prepares the dining room for guests, prepares beverages, communicates food orders to chefs, delivers food orders from the kitchen to guest tables, checks in with guests, and closes the dining room. The position requires reporting to work in a neat and clean uniform with well-groomed hair and personal hygiene. All guests must be treated in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction, and employees should always strive to exceed guest expectations. This role also requires weekly attendance to the Aloha Culture Meeting.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Prior restaurant experience.
Compliant with state Alcoholic Beverage Control regulations.

Responsibilities

Maintains the cleanliness and sanitation of the dining area, including all tables and chairs.
Prepares dining room for guests by cleaning and clothing tables, setting decorations, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates and utensils.
Prepare all beverages required for service, including coffee, iced tea and hot water.
Communicate food orders to chefs, paying attention to priorities and special requests, like food allergies.
Delivers food orders from the kitchen to guest’s tables quickly and accurately.
Check in with guests, take additional orders or refill water, as needed.
Closes dining room by cleaning chairs and tables; sweeping and/or vacuuming floors; removing trash.
Report to work in a neat and clean uniform. Well-groomed hair and personal hygiene are essential.
All guests must be treated in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction.
Always strive to exceed guests’ expectations.
Performs other duties as directed.
Weekly attendance to Aloha Culture Meeting.
