About The Position

The Karol Hotel is a boutique hotel located in the Feather Sound area of Clearwater, FL, convenient to the beaches, St Pete, and Tampa. The Karol features 123 rooms and suites, and features Katch Restaurant and Vantage Rooftop Bar, along with ballrooms and conference rooms to host events. The Karol Hotel is part of Marriott's Tribute Portfolio. The Food Runner/Expo works within the Food & Beverage team to ensure quality service to our guests. This position represents the highest standards to ensure exceptional service to all guests that is consistent and continually in accordance with Marriott's Tribute Portfolio standards.

Requirements

Previous experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality setting is required
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to stand for long periods of time and safely carry heavy trays
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to use technology, e.g. tablets

Responsibilities

Make sure orders get from the kitchen to the guests quickly and accurately, so they enjoy their meals at the perfect moment
Double-check each plate to ensure it looks great and matches the order exactly before it leaves the kitchen
Serve food to guests with a friendly attitude, making them feel welcome and well taken care of
Keep the expo station clean and tidy, helping everything run smoothly, even during busy times
Work closely with the kitchen and servers, keeping everyone on the same page to ensure guests have a great dining experience
Be ready to answer questions about the menu or help with special requests, always aiming to make guests feel at home
