About The Position

The Restaurant Cook is responsible for preparing and producing menu items to established standards in a quick and efficient manner. This role involves preparing a variety of food items, controlling food production, adhering to sanitation programs, and maintaining a clean and organized work station. The cook will also be expected to follow the Everyone Greets Everyone (EGE) policy, participate in meetings and pre-shift sessions, and work collaboratively with team members. A professional appearance and adherence to attendance guidelines are also required.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Ability to respond to visual and aural cues.
  • Must present a well-groomed, professional appearance.
  • Must be able to work a varied schedule including holidays, nights and weekends as needed.
  • Must be able to work a reasonable amount of overtime when required.
  • Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and produces menu items to standards in a quick and efficient manner.
  • Prepares items such as salads, appetizers, beef, poultry, seafood, etc.
  • Prepares, cooks, and seasons all food.
  • Controls food production in all work areas including proper cooking methods, times, and temperatures.
  • Adheres to kitchen maintenance and sanitation programs.
  • Maintains assigned station and equipment in a clean and sanitary condition.
  • Follows the Everyone Greets Everyone (EGE) policy.
  • Participates in all mandatory meetings and pre-shift BUZZ sessions.
  • Works as a team with co-workers.
  • Meets attendance guidelines and complies with all state, federal, and regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
