About The Position

Azaleas Restaurant, located inside the Holiday Inn Valdosta Conference Center, is looking for a dependable and motivated Cook to join our kitchen team. We are looking for someone who takes pride in preparing quality food, works well in a fast-paced environment, and understands the importance of cleanliness and food safety.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Ability to follow recipes and instructions
Strong attention to cleanliness and food safety
Ability to work as part of a team
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move kitchen supplies as needed
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Nice To Haves

Previous restaurant or kitchen experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards
Set up and maintain the kitchen and cooking stations
Ensure food is prepared accurately, consistently, and in a timely manner
Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures
Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout each shift
Assist with food preparation, stocking, and kitchen organization
Monitor food quality and freshness
Work closely with other kitchen and restaurant team members
Assist with opening and closing duties as needed
Perform other kitchen duties as assigned
