About The Position

Our restaurant portfolio in the Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport includes Chili's, Max & Erma's, Buddy's, Sora Japanese Cuisine, Coffey Beanery, etc... At SSP America, our Restaurant Cashier are one of our most important customer service roles. Our Restaurant Cashier are experts at quite a few things including: Providing excellent customer service, Processing orders quickly and accurately, Maintaining cleanliness and service standards daily.

Requirements

  • One year experience working in food service environment.
  • Must be minimum 18 years old.
  • Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language in order to communicate with guests
  • Ability to remember, recite, and promote the variety of menu items
  • Ability to operate a keyboard & point of sale procedures to pre-check an order & close out a check
  • Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long period of time

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Process orders and enter them accurately into the POS system.
  • Receive payment from the customer and process change.
  • Serve cold, frozen, and hot drinks as well as a wide variety of food items to guests.
  • Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
  • Ensure that the work area is clean throughout the day.
  • Clean equipment and utensils, removes trash, sweep and mop work area, dust and clean.
  • Other duties as assigned.
