About The Position

The Restaurant Busperson is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitary conditions of the dining room and service areas. This role involves assisting servers with guest service, including clearing tables, stocking supplies, and preparing tables for service. The Busperson plays a key role in ensuring a positive dining experience for guests by maintaining an organized and efficient service environment.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to walk, stand, stoop, bend, lift and carry trays weighing 35+ pounds repetitively during entire shift
  • Excellent guest service skills
  • Ability to work flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

  • Stocks and maintains supplies in all service areas.
  • Inspects and prepares all service ware prior to use.
  • Clears soiled plates, service ware, etc. from service areas and tables to the dish wash area, sorting appropriately.
  • Cleans and pre-sets tables with all service ware.
  • Greets guests and assists Server with delivery of water and beverages.
  • Removes unneeded place settings from occupied tables.
  • Carries trays of food from the kitchen to the table.
  • May assist Server in presentation of meals for large parties and during periods of heavy volume.
  • Maintains cleanliness and sanitary condition of dining room and service areas.
  • Assists in completion of post meal clean up and side work duties.
  • Promotes and applies teamwork skills at all times.
  • Notifies appropriate individual promptly and fully of problems and/or unusual matters of significance.
  • Is polite, friendly, and helpful to guests, management and fellow team members.
  • Executes emergency procedures in accordance with hotel standards.
  • Complies with required safety regulations and procedures.
  • Attends appropriate hotel meetings and training sessions.
  • Maintains cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and work area.
  • Complies with hotel standards, policies and rules.
  • Recycles whenever possible.
  • Remains current with hotel information and changes.
  • Complies with hotel uniform and grooming standards.
